Ep. 2 Parents and Child Estrangement: The Consequences of Familial Emotional Abuse

In the episode we sit down with our Building Leaders, teens 13-18, and a youth leaders to discuss parent-child estrangement, when a parent or child cuts tries completely with or has little contact with each other with emotional distancing. We discuss the challenges and benefits in making that difficult choice to become estranged with their parent(s) and what lead up to making the difficult choice. We discuss estrangement and its relation to emotional abuse and the significant difference in rate of estranged fathers.
