Hope Opposed

I think one of the reasons hopelessness is so pervasive in our culture is because it is so frequently opposed. The truth is opposition hurts. Opposition is exhausting, but opposition is the most common fuel for spiritual growth. It is something that cannot be taken lightly and it is something that we can find numerous times in the Word of God. Whether it be physical, emotional, mental, and more times than not, spiritual, the Bible portrays opposition at almost every turning of the page. This week we will look at the hope opposed when there was word of the promised Messiah.
