Hope Arrives

Last week we looked at how the birth of Jesus was foretold for generation upon generation. This Sunday, Hope Arrives! What we hope for is always preceded by anticipation. Anticipation of what is to come. When all that we anticipate does not turn out like we planned, our lives can be left hanging on a wishful thinking kind of hope that is sure to disappoint us. With the birth of Jesus, God's hope entered the world. It was meant to infuse a Godly hope into each of us for all eternity. It was meant to allow us to live in great anticipation for all that God has in store for us. Anticipation filled with hope that is grounded in Jesus can change the world. Hope is not stationary, it flows, it moves. Although, sometimes we miss it! Sometimes we live our lives as if hope has not yet arrived. Hope came to this earth in the simple cry of a baby and it has the power to change the world.
