Then we mention Leelah Alcorn and conversion therapy, two things which are very much related. If we’ve learned anything from the life and death of Leelah Alcorn, it’s that transgender youth need acceptance and that conversion therapy must end. Conversion therapy is not only a denial of the validity of someone’s sexual or gender identity, but also a heinous torture. On the brighter side, we throw Stonewall and Laverne Cox some love.
