In this episode, Pastor Bob and Pastor Phil are joined by Julie Maduforo, RN, MA, MCFC. Julie is a Professional Counselor at Katallasso Family Health Center, and she joins us to talk about those who have been hurt by the Church. Julie brings a unique and valuable perspective to this conversation between her profession and her own personal background.

We hear these stories so often inside and outside of the Church today. Is this a new problem or is it affecting us differently? Why does Church hurt seem especially painful? How can we heal from Church hurt without abandoning the Church? We discuss all of these questions (and more) as we try to understand the complexities of this issue.

Deconstruction. Over the past decade, this word has invaded evangelical circles. Yet, if ask 100 different people to define what it means, you might get 100 different answers. There are a lot of definitions and experiences wrapped up in this term, and with that a lot of confusion.
