Welcome to Gather Darlings- Carrie, the founder of Dementia Darling, known for keeping it real when it comes to dementia care and Nicole, the founder of willGather, where she’s all about helping family caregivers navigate aging like a pro, and, are teaming up to co-host this podcast— where we kick back, let loose, and dive headfirst into the untamed, unfiltered world of caregiving. This isn’t your grandma's tea party—unless your grandma likes to spill the tea with a glass of wine in one hand and unapologetic truths in the other.
So listen while you’re driving, doing the dishes, working, or if you got lucky in your favorite chair, whether it’s a loveseat, or a rocking chair, and make yourself comfortable. It’s always happy hour here, and we're serving up the real stories of caregiving with a side of unfiltered banter.
Here, we talk about it all— the messy, the stressful, and the downright REAL parts of caring for someone else while trying to keep your own sanity intact. Think of us as your bestie support group, where nothing is off-limits. Struggling with your mental health? We’ve got you. Feeling like caregiving is a thankless job? We see you.
Whether you’re aging (which is ALL of us!), caregiving, loving a caregiver or working in aging services- Pour yourself a drink; let’s vent and laugh, and talk all about it. And yes, we even talk about how sometimes you just need to lock yourself in the bathroom for five minutes of peace—or for a quick cry.
