On the road to PAULA POUNDSTONE'S house we were greeted by the sound of drums (Paula), her 15 housemates, Lucy, Desi, Bogie, and The Three Stooges benches, and, a few tech issues. And the password is... we finally got it, got online after a bit of a sweat, mine. The video is a tad compromised... oh lord let this be a bandwidth issue... but it doesn't really matter. God is she funny!

We talk Paula's very interesting sleeping habits, her first rave comedy review (Kindergarten), to her just received nominations for two Audie Awards: Best Humor AudioBook, and, Best AudioBook of the Year, hell yeahs, for her The Totally Unscientific Study of the Search for Human Happiness. Then we talked a ton of stuff in between. Her 40th High School reunion, working at the salad bar, her first open mike, and her second, the comedy boom in the late 70s, Boston, San Francisco, Robin Williams, Letterman, SNL, Carson... how she crafts her act... her focus... and a dream which remains...
