Enviable view... as I write, Chris Johnson is spending his nights staring into the glorious, celebrated, backside of Jennifer Lopez. A hired gun, Chris has sat behind, and supported, Rihanna, Madonna, Stevie Wonder, Seal, Patti LaBelle Nelly Furtado, Anastasia, and Fantasia... to name but a bunch.

Self-taught, discovered playing drums in church at 17, Chris's first professional gig was being discovered by American Idol's musical director Rickey Minor... winged from LA to NYC's Beacon Theatre, playing with a band for the first time in his life, backing up gospel star, Donnie McClurkin for the first time when the stage lights came up. Chris, a fearless, talented, musical genius, does the work and gets it done.

I met Chris at the advance screening of Hired Gun, an independent feature set to drop in theatres throughout the country June 29th, for one night only. Not to be missed by anyone who loves rock and the rockers who make it... starring the sidemen who oft steal stadium and arena stages from the front men we came to see... their stories are important, entertaining, and inspiring.
