1 Samuel Chapters 4-7

In this episode, we read 1 Samuel chapters 4–7, where Israel faces defeat against the Philistines and the Ark of God is captured. We see the consequences of turning from the Lord, as well as God’s power displayed even in enemy territory. When the Ark is returned, Samuel leads Israel in repentance, and the Lord gives His people victory and peace. These chapters reveal God’s holiness, the importance of genuine repentance, and His willingness to deliver His people when they turn back to Him.
