Raccoons are renowned for their ability to practically consume anything and for their affinity for dumpsters but this one took it a bit too far until a brave Kentucky nurse stepped in to help. This raccoon, now named Otis Campbell (it’ll make sense later) was found in a dumpster behind a distillery, face down and not breathing in a puddle of peaches and moonshine. Misty Combs, a nurse who works at the nearby health department location was able to get him out and actually used her CPR skills to revive him!
Local fish and wildlife officials showed up to assist him in sobering up and later returned him to the health department parking lot where Combs got to assist in releasing him back to the wild. Now, as LEX 18 put it, we may have to change the phrase “drunk as a skunk” to “tipsy as a trash panda.” For the whole podcast, and tons of exclusive perks, sign up to be a Fancy Idiot at FreeBeerAndHotWings.com!
