Our mini-series devoted to the live action films of Wes Anderson continues with his biggest financial flop, 2004’s The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou.

After the success of The Royal Tenenbaums, Touchstone Pictures was ready to give Wes Anderson as much money as he wanted to make anything he wanted and he chose a film about an underwater documentarian on a revenge mission for $50 million dollars.

It did not go well.
