The Scene, episode 2:2 revisits this topic with a conversation with Jana Goldbloom Brody, author of Sit Behind the Nets. Jana's mom, Linda Goldbloom tragically died when she was struck by a foul ball while attending a game at Dodger Stadium in 2018. Jana tells FTINFX about her journey from being a grieving daughter to being a staunch advocate for making ballparks safer for fans at all levels. Our conversation delves into how these preventable accidents at the ballpark were allowed to occur. More importantly, how the actions of determined individuals made the baseball establishment rethink past policies, and the ongoing push to ensure ballparks at every level take the necessary measures to ensure foul ball safety is taken seriously moving forward.
