You won't want to miss this one!
Another Therry and S.A. premiere. From the pen of Roger Hall who brought you our very successful production of Four Flat Whites in Italy, comes another of his trademark comedies.
A SHORTCUT TO HAPPINESS.
For Hall, the play was inspired by author Vicki Baum’s quote, “There are a few shortcuts to happiness, and dancing is one of them”, and an international folk dancing class that Hall joined. He soon realised the beginnings of a play might be in the works!
SUMMARY
Russian migrant Natasha starts a folk-dance class to supplement her earnings as a cleaner while she perfects her English and studies to become a music teacher. Unlike the locals, Natasha is blunt, tactless and doesn’t see her new country through rose-tinted glasses. The dance class attracts a group of senior misfits, two widows desperate to find an eligible man, a couple who fill their days with classes, and a recent widower!
