Disabled vs. Special Needs and SO MUCH MORE with author, Kelley Coleman

 In today’s episode, Jen and Kelley talk about topics we’ve never covered here at For Our Special Kids

Kelley Coleman gets Jen to talk about some not-always talked about concepts and issues.  Using the words special needs vs. disabled is just one example. 

They talk about ableism and why there is a negative stigma around this entire community. They get into staring and when our children are just being themselves in public and how easy it can be to openly address the behavior and not the disability.

Kelley is really good at using phrases that highlight the positives while not making excuses. She shares quite a few examples.

This is a really good conversation that stumps Jen on a few different levels.
