Todaya€s English for football is relegation zone. To be relegated means to drop down a division. At the moment, Watford are at the bottom of the Premier League and they look like they will drop down to the Championship (the old Second Division). Relegation zone is a phrase we use to describe the bottom group of teams who are in danger of being relegated.
