Behind the Scenes in Independence | Jessica Hyser + Ryan Wancata

Whether you live in Independence or simply come into the City to practice at the studio, my guess is that you are like me: a little unaware of what goes on behind the scenes. And in the current climate, it's easy to assume the worst.

But today I had the privilege and pleasure to sit with two of the City of Independence's newest faces.  Jessica Hyser + Ryan Wancata work in the Department of Economic Development + Sustainability. And they are taking on some big initiatives to support businesses + update the City's ecology practices.

Plus, Ryan likes rocks (the amethyst + selenite + fluorite kinds) and Jessica previously worked in the Akron area. So much in common....
