Story Transcript:

Cy: Ar fore braf o haf ar Draeth Ynys y Barri, roedd yr haul yn tywynnu'n gryf dros y traeth euraid.
En: On a beautiful summer morning on Draeth Ynys y Barri, the sun was shining brightly over the golden beach.

Cy: Roedd teuluoedd o bob cwr o Gymru wedi dod i fwynhau'r diwrnod hir o haf.
En: Families from all over Cymru had come to enjoy the long summer day.

Cy: Roedd plant yn sgrechian gyda chyffro wrth chwarae yn y tonnau tyner, a phebyll lliwgar yn gefndir i'r cyfan, yn gefnlen ddelfrydol i’r cyfle i lenwi’r traeth.
En: Children were shrieking with excitement while playing in the gentle waves, and colorful tents were a backdrop to the whole scene, an ideal canvas for the opportunity to fill the beach.

Cy: Ymhlith y mysg hwn, roedd Emlyn yn sefyll, ei benwediws yn ffocysu ar dasg o bwys: cystadleuaeth adeiladu castell tywod.
En: Among this scene, Emlyn stood, his mind focused on an important task: a sandcastle building competition.

Cy: Roedd ei ffrindiau, Rhys a Carys, hefyd yn cymryd rhan, ond roedd y ddau yn llawer mwy hamddenol.
En: His friends, Rhys and Carys, were also participating, but both were much more relaxed.

Cy: Roedd Emlyn yn benderfynol iawn.
En: Emlyn was very determined.

Cy: "Rhaid i mi ennill y tro hwn," meddai wrth Rhys a Carys wrth sefyll o flaen ei deunyddiau - bwcedi, rhawiau, a phethau eraill i’w ddefod ar gyfer eu creu.
En: "I must win this time," he said to Rhys and Carys, standing before his materials - buckets, spades, and other items for their creation.

Cy: Roedd pawb yn gyffrous wrth i’r gystadleuaeth ddechrau.
En: Everyone was excited as the competition began.

Cy: Torrently, roedd Emlyn wedi paratoi cynllun i greu castell tywod moethus, fel dim arall a welwyd ar Ynys y Barri.
En: Torrently, Emlyn had prepared a plan to create a luxurious sandcastle, like nothing else seen on Ynys y Barri.

Cy: Roedd Rhys, y gwrthwynebwr dewr, wedi cynllunio rhywbeth symlach, ond roedd ganddo driciau bach i geisio ennill.
En: Rhys, the brave contender, had designed something simpler but had little tricks to try to win.

Cy: Carys, ar y llaw arall, roedd hi yno i fwynhau’r proses – ei bwyslais ar yr hwyl, nid y gystadleuaeth.
En: Carys, on the other hand, was there to enjoy the process – her emphasis on the fun, not the competition.

Cy: Wrth i'r prynhawn fynd heibio, dechreuodd y llanw godi’n uwch ac uwch, gan adlamu’n beryglus tuag at waith celf Emlyn.
En: As the afternoon wore on, the tide began to rise higher and higher, perilously lapping towards Emlyn's artwork.

Cy: Roedd Emlyn yn dechrau teimlo'r straen ac ofni collodd ei greu.
En: Emlyn started to feel the stress and feared losing his creation.

Cy: "Beth am i ni newid y cynllun?
En: "How about we change the plan?"

Cy: " awgrymodd Carys, er nad oedd hynny’n rhan o’i ddyluniad gwreiddiol.
En: suggested Carys, even though it wasn't part of the original design.

Cy: Dechreuodd Emlyn ystyried y syniad.
En: Emlyn began to consider the idea.

Cy: "Beth am anghenion anghysbell môr?
En: "What about the whims of the sea?"

Cy: " meddai Rhys yn ddigrif, yn ceisio codi calon Emlyn.
En: said Rhys humorously, trying to lift Emlyn's spirits.

Cy: "A dyna fo!
En: "There it is!"

Cy: " gweiddodd Emlyn, ei wyneb yn goleuo gydag ysbrydoliaeth sydyn.
En: shouted Emlyn, his face lighting up with sudden...
