Ro: Ninsese toată noaptea în cartierul plin de luminițe din București.
En: It had snowed all night in the neighborhood full of lights in București.

Ro: Brazi împodobiți străluceau în fiecare curte, iar fețele copiilor se luminau de bucurie când treceau pe lângă ferestrele decorate.
En: Decorated Christmas trees shone in every yard, and children's faces lit up with joy as they passed by the decorated windows.

Ro: Printre acești copii, Andrei, un adolescent curios și isteț, își petrecea după-amiezile explorând toate secretele cartierului.
En: Among these children, Andrei, a curious and clever teenager, spent his afternoons exploring all the secrets of the neighborhood.

Ro: De câteva zile, Andrei observase ceva ciudat.

Ro: Ai văzut cum ninge, poate vor doar să le protejeze.
En: You've seen how it snows; maybe they just want to protect them."

Ro: "Dar Andrei hotărî să nu asculte.
En: But Andrei decided not to listen.

Ro: Avuse un plan.
En: He had a plan.

Ro: În fiecare seară, va observa cu atenție tot ce se întâmplă în jurul caselor.
En: Every evening, he would carefully observe everything happening around the houses.

Ro: Avea saci mari, și părea că strânge decorațiunile de la casele vecine.

Ro: Inima lui Andrei bătea cu putere.

Ro: Își adună curajul și se apropie pe furiș.
En: He gathered his courage and snuck closer.

Ro: "Hei!
En: "Hey!

En: What are you doing there?!"
