Story Transcript:

Ro: Lumina caldă a primăverii inunda coridoarele reci ale spitalului din București.
En: The warm light of spring flooded the cold corridors of the hospital in București.

Ro: Era agitație, asistentele și doctorii treceau grăbiți pe lângă pacienți și vizitatori.
En: There was commotion, with nurses and doctors hurrying past patients and visitors.

Ro: Ionuț și Raluca, doi prieteni dragi încă din copilărie, stăteau la intrare, încercând să-și adune curajul pentru ziua de voluntariat la spital.
En: Ionuț and Raluca, two dear friends since childhood, stood at the entrance, trying to gather the courage for their day of volunteering at the hospital.

Ro: „Respirăm adânc și intrăm,” spuse Ionuț, deși inima îi bătea tare în piept.
En: "Let's take a deep breath and go in," said Ionuț, although his heart was pounding in his chest.

Ro: Era entuziasmat să ajute, dar prezența în spital îl făcea să simtă un nod în stomac.
En: He was excited to help, but being in the hospital made him feel a knot in his stomach.

Ro: Raluca îl privi și zâmbi cu încredere.
En: Raluca looked at him and smiled confidently.

Ro: Ea dorea să-l sprijine pe Ionuț, deși mintea îi era ocupată cu problemele de acasă.
En: She wanted to support Ionuț, even though her mind was occupied with problems at home.

Ro: Atmosfera de Paște se simțea în aer și, deși era un moment de bucurie, în familia ei erau tensiuni.
En: The Easter atmosphere was in the air, and although it was a moment of joy, there were tensions in her family.

Ro: Începuseră activitatea îndrumând pacienții și discutând cu cei din camerele de recuperare.
En: They began their activity by guiding patients and talking to those in the recovery rooms.

Ro: Ionuț părea mai rezervat.
En: Ionuț seemed more reserved.

Ro: Încerca să-și învingă temerile, dar cuvintele nu-i veneau ușor.

Ro: Raluca reușea să întrețină conversații plăcute cu pacienții, dar concentrarea ei era scăzută.
En: Raluca managed to maintain pleasant conversations with the patients, but her concentration was low.

Ro: La un moment dat, o pacientă le-a povestit despre familia ei venind în vizită de Paște.
En: At one point, a patient told them about her family coming to visit for Easter.

Ro: Aceste simple cuvinte au făcut-o pe Raluca să-și lase garda jos.
En: These simple words made Raluca lower her guard.

Ro: „Ionuț, trebuie să îți spun ceva,” a mărturisit Raluca, luându-l pe Ionuț deoparte.
En: "Ionuț, I need to tell you something," Raluca confessed, taking Ionuț aside.

Ro: „Acasă lucrurile nu sunt prea bune...”
En: "Things at home aren't too good..."

Ro: Ionuț privea lipsit de cuvinte, apoi îi puse mâna pe umăr: „Raluca, sunt aici pentru tine.
En: Ionuț looked speechless, then placed a hand on her shoulder: "Raluca, I'm here for you.

Ro: Orice ar fi.”
En: No matter what."

Ro: În acel moment, un zgomot puternic veni din camera alăturată.
En: At that moment, a loud noise came from the next room.

Ro: Un pacient căzuse și o puternică panică se instala în secție.
En: A patient had fallen, and strong panic set in on the ward.

Ro: Fără să stea pe gânduri, Ionuț își aminti ce învățase la cursurile de prim ajutor.
En: Without hesitation, Ionuț recalled what he had learned in first aid...
