Ro: Într-o dimineață răcoroasă de toamnă, mirosul de cafea proaspăt măcinată plutea dintr-o prăjitorie micuță din colțul Bucureștiului.
En: On a cool autumn morning, the aroma of freshly ground coffee wafted from a small roastery on a corner of Bucharest.

Ro: Această prăjitorie era un loc special, unde lemnul vechi și rafturile pline de boabe de cafea creau o atmosferă caldă.
En: This roastery was a special place, where old wood and shelves full of coffee beans created a warm atmosphere.

Ro: Printre mesele prăjitoriei, Andrei, un tânăr barista, își pregătea inima pentru o întâlnire importantă.

Ro: Andrei și-a făcut curaj și a invitat-o pe sora sa, Alina, la o cafea.

Ro: — Bună, Alina, spuse Andrei cu un zâmbet timid. Mi-a fost dor de tine.
En: "Hi, Alina," Andrei said with a shy smile. "I've missed you."

Ro: — Bună, Andrei, răspunse Alina. Timpul a trecut, nu?
En: "Hi, Andrei," Alina replied. "Time has passed, hasn't it?"

Ro: — Da, prea repede, recunosc, zise Andrei, așezându-se. Știu că am lipsit mult prea mult, dar... vreau să schimb asta.
En: "Yes, too quickly, I admit," said Andrei, sitting down. "I know I've been absent for far too long, but... I want to change that."

Ro: Alina îl privi sceptic, dar curioasă.
En: Alina looked at him, skeptical but curious.

Ro: Întotdeauna fusese cea deschisă, iar Andrei, mai retras.
En: She had always been the open one, and Andrei, more reserved.

Ro: În schimb, el era acum cel care începea o conversație dificilă.
En: Yet now, he was the one initiating a difficult conversation.

Ro: Andrei a oftat și s-a uitat la cafeaua lui, apoi și-a ridicat privirea cu sinceritate.
En: Andrei sighed and looked at his coffee, then raised his gaze sincerely.

Ro: — Uite, vin aici des din cauza amintirilor noastre.
En: "Look, I come here often because of our memories.

Ro: Ții minte cum veneam împreună cu mama să bem ciocolată caldă în prag de iarnă? întrebă el cu un zâmbet nostalgic.
En: Do you remember how we used to come here with Mom to drink hot chocolate at the start of winter?" he asked with a nostalgic smile.

Ro: Alina a zâmbit încet.
En: Alina slowly smiled.
