Ro: Soarele strălucea puternic în acea dimineață de primăvară peste casa mare a familiei.
En: The sun shone bright that spring morning over the large family house.

Ro: Liniștea din curte era tulburată doar de ciripitul păsărilor și de sunetele vesele din bucătărie.
En: The quiet in the yard was disturbed only by the chirping of birds and the cheerful sounds coming from the kitchen.

Ro: Andrei stătea pe veranda din spate, inspirând adânc mirosul de cozonac proaspăt.
En: Andrei sat on the back porch, inhaling the deep smell of freshly baked cozonac.

Ro: Era acasă pentru prima oară după mulți ani petrecuți în străinătate.
En: It was his first time home after many years spent abroad.

Ro: Privind în jur, simțea că timpul a schimbat multe.
En: Looking around, he felt that time had changed many things.
