Ro: Într-o zi toridă de vară, într-un orfelinat vechi de la marginea orașului Timișoara, Ionel își petrecea timpul cutreierând curtea vastă acoperită de verdeață.
En: On a scorching summer day, in an old orphanage on the outskirts of the city of Timișoara, Ionel spent his time wandering through the vast yard covered in greenery.

Ro: Clădirea, cu zidurile sale gri și ferestrele mari, îi părea un castel misterios plin de povești ascunse.
En: The building, with its gray walls and large windows, seemed to him like a mysterious castle full of hidden stories.

Ro: Ionel avea 10 ani și era un băiat curios, mereu în căutare de aventuri.
En: Ionel was 10 years old and he was a curious boy, always in search of adventures.

Ro: Își dorea să descopere ceva special, ceva care să-i aducă un sens și să-i dovedească valoarea.

Ro: Într-o după-amiază, pe când explorează podul orfelinatului, zări un colț de hârtie ieșind dintr-o crăpătură a podelei scârțâitoare.
