Ro: Vlad privea cerul gri din Danube Delta.
En: Vlad looked at the gray sky in the Danube Delta.

Ro: Norii grei se întindeau deasupra capetelor lor, ca un pătură mohorâtă.
En: Heavy clouds stretched above their heads like a gloomy blanket.

Ro: Lângă el, Elena și Ion se uitau la harta canalelor.
En: Next to him, Elena and Ion were looking at the map of the channels.

Ro: Barca mică se legăna ușor pe apă, înconjurată de trestii înalte.
En: The small boat rocked gently on the water, surrounded by tall reeds.

Ro: Era primăvară, dar vremea nu părea să știe.

En: The pelicans like to hide."

Ro: "Cu o bătaie ușoară de resemnare, Vlad accepă să continue.
En: With a light tap of resignation, Vlad agreed to continue.
