Ro: Nori negri se adunau deasupra Pasului Transfăgărășan.
En: Black clouds were gathering above the Pasului Transfăgărășan.

Ro: Era o zi caldă de vară, dar Mirela simțea fiorul vântului care începea să bată tot mai tare.
En: It was a warm summer day, but Mirela felt the chill of the wind that was beginning to blow harder and harder.

Ro: Ea, împreună cu Andrei și Constantin, porniseră în această drumeție cu speranța de a atinge vârful.
En: She, along with Andrei and Constantin, set off on this hike with the hope of reaching the summit.

Ro: Andrei, deși pasionat de drumeții, ascundea o teamă adâncă de înălțimi.
En: Andrei, although passionate about hiking, hid a deep fear of heights.

Ro: Totuși, hotărâse că astăzi va înfrunta acea temere.
En: Nevertheless, he had decided that today he would face that fear.

Ro: Mirela conducea grupul, planificând minut cu minut traseul.
En: Mirela led the group, planning the route minute by minute.

Ro: Constantin, prietenul vechi al lui Andrei, era precaut și curajos, dar nu-i plăceau surprizele.
En: Constantin, Andrei's old friend, was cautious and brave, but he didn't like surprises.

Ro: "Trebuie să ajungem acolo sus înainte de ploaie," spuse Mirela, privind îngrijorată cerul.
En: "We have to get up there before the rain," Mirela said, looking worriedly at the sky.

Ro: Pe măsură ce urcau, norii se transformau în ceață groasă.
En: As they climbed, the clouds turned into thick fog.

Ro: Andrei se simțea zguduit de vânturi, dar își ținea teamă ascunsă.
En: Andrei felt shaken by the winds but kept his fear hidden.

Ro: "Putem să ne oprim undeva să așteptăm să se mai limpezească?
En: "Can we stop somewhere to wait for it to clear up?"

Ro: " propuse el cu o voce tremurândă.
En: he proposed with a trembling voice.

Ro: Constantin îl opri cu o mână prietenoasă pe umăr.
En: Constantin stopped him with a friendly hand on his shoulder.

Ro: "Hai să ne mai uităm o dată la hartă, poate găsim un adăpost mai apropiat.
En: "Let's take another look at the map, maybe we'll find a closer shelter."

Ro: "Dar Mirela, hotărâtă, le răspunse: "Suntem atât de aproape.
En: But Mirela, determined, replied: "We're so close.

Ro: Dacă ne mișcăm repede, ajungem înainte ca furtuna să se dezlănțuie.
En: If we move quickly, we'll get there before the storm breaks."

Ro: "Cu toate că îndoiala îi măcina pe toți, au hotărât să continue.
En: Even though doubt gnawed at them all, they decided to continue.

Ro: Drumul devenea tot mai periculos, cu pietre ude și mici torente care curgeau peste potecă.
En: The path was becoming more dangerous, with wet stones and small torrents flowing over the trail.

Ro: Furtuna lovea cu furie în timp ce ajungeau la o altă cotitură.
En: The storm was raging as they reached another turn.

Ro: Cu toate acestea, Andrei găsea forțe necunoscute în el.
En: However, Andrei found unknown strength within himself.

Ro: "Nu ne putem întoarce acum," strigă el pentru a încuraja pe ceilalți, în timp ce tunetul răsuna tot mai aproape.
En: "We can't turn back now," he shouted to encourage the others, as thunder sounded closer and closer.

En: Finally, the small light of a shelter appeared through the fog.
