Ro: Pe un campus înghețat, acoperit de un strat de zăpadă albă, Adrian stătea în încăperea călduroasă a căminului Universității din București.
En: On a frozen campus, covered by a layer of white snow, Adrian sat in the warm room of the dormitory at the Universitatea din București.

Ro: Aerul de iarnă pătrundea pe ferestrele vechi, iar frigul de afară părea că șoptește dorințe de aventură.
En: The winter air seeped through the old windows, and the cold outside seemed to whisper wishes of adventure.

Ro: Elena și Mihai, colegii lui de proiect, erau la fel de concentrați.
En: Elena and Mihai, his project colleagues, were equally focused.

Ro: Zilele treceau repede și sesiunea era la colțul străzii.
En: The days passed quickly, and the exam period was just around the corner.

Ro: Proiectul lor, despre impactul tehnologiei asupra mediului, avea nevoie de ultimele retușuri, iar termenul limită nu le lăsa prea mult răgaz.

Ro: "Adrian," zise Mihai, fără să-și ridice privirea de la laptop, "cum te-ai descurcat azi la librărie?

Ro: ""Am găsit cărțile.
En: "I found the books."

Ro: " Adrian zâmbi cu gândul la o altă lume, la potecile din Carpați care îl așteptau.

Ro: "Dar am și eu nevoie de o pauză.
En: "But I also need a break.

Ro: Visez să plec.
En: I dream of leaving."

Ro: "Elena râse: "Poate după sesiune, Adrian.
En: Elena laughed: "Maybe after the exams, Adrian.

Ro: Mai e puțin!
En: It's just a little longer!"

Ro: "În fiecare seară, după ore lungi de muncă, Adrian se gândea la munții acoperiți de zăpadă.
En: Every evening, after long hours of work, Adrian thought of the mountains covered in snow.

Ro: Acesta era visul său, să scape pentru câteva zile și să respire aerul curat al Carpaților.
En: It was his dream to escape for a few days and breathe the fresh air of the Carpați.

Ro: Dar cum putea pleca, când zăpezile și teme deadline-uri se suprapuneau într-o furtună perfectă?

Ro: În dimineața următoare, așezat pe peronul gării, Adrian privea trenul care șuiera în depărtare.

Ro: Într-o mână avea rucsacul, iar în cealaltă hârtiile pline cu notițe.
