Ro: Soarele de vară strălucea puternic peste ruinele Sarmizegetusei.
En: The summer sun shone brightly over the ruins of Sarmizegetusa.

Ro: Aerul era călduț, iar mireasma de flori de câmp învăluia totul într-o atmosferă de liniște.
En: The air was warm, and the scent of wildflowers enveloped everything in an atmosphere of tranquility.

Ro: Acolo, printre pietrele vechi și grele de istorie, Andrei și Mirela se întâlneau după mult prea mult timp.
En: There, among the old stones heavy with history, Andrei and Mirela met after far too much time apart.

Ro: Andrei, un bărbat înalt și serios, își lăsase viața de peste hotare în așteptare.
En: Andrei, a tall and serious man, had put his life overseas on hold.

En: Andrei sighed.

Ro: Vizita orașului vechi îi aminti de copilăria petrecută alături de tatăl lor.
En: Visiting the old town reminded him of his childhood spent with their father.

Ro: Dar el venise pentru a rezolva afacerile.
En: But he had come to take care of business.

Ro: Casa familiei, și pământurile, toate trebuiau împărțite ori vândute.
