Lt: Vasarą rytas buvo šiltas ir saulė švietė virš medžių vainikų, kai Lukas žengė per naujojo mokyklos pastato slenkstį.
En: The summer morning was warm, and the sun shone above the tree canopies as Lukas crossed the threshold of the new school building.

Lt: Jo širdis plazdėjo kaip maža paukštelė, uždaryta į narvelį.
En: His heart fluttered like a small bird trapped in a cage.

Lt: Kiekvienas žingsnis sekė su nedideliu nervų virpuliu, nes tai buvo jo pirma diena naujame mokykloje.
