Lt: Rudens rytas atsikėlė kartu su rūku, kuris glostė medžius mažame Lietuvos kaimelyje.
En: The autumn morning arose along with the fog, which caressed the trees in the small Lithuanian village.

Lt: Namas, kuriame gyveno Dalia su šeima, stovėjo šalia žydinčios pievos, kurioje augo daugybė spalvotų gėlių.
En: The house where Dalia lived with her family stood beside a blossoming meadow full of colorful flowers.

Lt: Namą juosė mažas sodas, kurį Dalia prižiūrėjo su meile.
En: The house was surrounded by a small garden, which Dalia tended with love.

Lt: Ūžiojo vėjas, o lapai šoko ore, lydėdami Dalią, Mantą ir Rasą į kelionę.
En: The wind roared, and the leaves danced in the air, accompanying Dalia, Mantas, and Rasa on their journey.

Lt: Jis žvilgtelėjo pro langą ir pamatė besidraikančius rūko debesėlius.
En: He peeked through the window and saw the drifting fog clouds.

Lt: "Kodėl mes turime ten važiuoti?
En: "Why do we have to go there?"

Lt: " burbėjo jis po nosimi.
En: he muttered under his breath.

Lt: Jam tai atrodė kaip garbanojanti važiuotė, prarandant laiką, kurį jis galėjo praleisti prie kompiuterio.
En: To him, it seemed like a pointless drive, losing time he could spend on the computer.

Lt: Tuo tarpu Rasa jau buvo pasiruošusi.
En: Meanwhile, Rasa was already ready.

Lt: Mergaitė, su raudonomis skruostais ir akinančiu entuziazmu, buvo pasiruošusi susidurti su bet kokiu nuotykiu.
En: The girl, with rosy cheeks and dazzling enthusiasm, was prepared to face any adventure.

Lt: "Mama, ar mes jau važiuosime?
En: "Mom, are we going already?

Lt: Ką pamatysime ten?
En: What will we see there?"

Lt: " džiaugsmingai klausinėjo ji.
En: she asked eagerly.

Lt: Automobilis pajudėjo siauromis kaimo gatvelėmis, po truputį įsibėgėdamas link Kryžių kalno.
En: The car moved along the narrow village streets, gradually picking up speed towards the Hill of Crosses.

Lt: Dalia vairavo, stengdamasi sužavėti Mantą kalbomis apie Lietuvos istoriją ir tradicijas.
En: Dalia drove, trying to captivate Mantas with talks about Lithuanian history and traditions.

Lt: Ji dalinosi pasakojimais apie savo jaunystę, apie tai, kaip jos tėvai kartą atvežė ją į šią pačią vietą.

Lt: Laikui bėgant Mantas, pradžioje užsispyręs, visgi pradėjo klausytis.
