Lt: Saulė jau seniai nusileido, palikdama rūstų, oranžinį rudens dangų.
En: The sun had long set, leaving behind a harsh, orange autumn sky.

Lt: Švelnus vėjas šnibždėjo per apleistą prekybos centrą, o retkarčiais girdėjosi mutantų būgneliai.
En: A gentle wind whispered through the abandoned shopping center, occasionally accompanied by the drumming sounds of mutants.

Lt: Prie išdaužto vitrinos stiklo stovėjo Rasa, Tomas ir Eglė – trys ištroškę normalumo draugai.
En: By the shattered display window stood Rasa, Tomas, and Eglė – three friends thirsty for normalcy.

Lt: Jų tikslas šiandien – iškepti pyragą.
En: Their goal today was to bake a pie.

Lt: Rasa, energinga ir užsispyrusi lyderė, įkvėpė draugus.

Lt: "Teks būti kūrybingiems," tarė Rasa, žvelgdama į aplinką.
En: "We'll have to be creative," said Rasa, surveying her surroundings.

Lt: Tomas, visada pasiruošęs pralinksminti, juokavo: "Gal turėtume pakviesti vieną iš mutantų paragauti!
En: Tomas, always ready to lighten the mood, joked, "Maybe we should invite one of the mutants to taste it!

Lt: Jie vis tiek vien atsitiktinius skonius mėgsta.

En: "Great idea," she agreed.

Lt: Tomas palinksėjo: "Gerai, aš pritrauksiu jų dėmesį.
En: Tomas nodded: "Alright, I'll distract them."

Lt: "Kai Tomas nuėjo šaukti ir švilpti, mutantai nukreipė žvilgsnius į jį.
En: As Tomas went off shouting and whistling, the mutants turned their attention to him.

Lt: Tuomet Rasa ir Eglė greitai rinko likučius ir statė laužą ankštame pastato viduje.
En: Meanwhile, Rasa and Eglė quickly gathered the remnants and built a fire inside the cramped building.

Lt: Laikas bėgo, o po kiek laiko Tomas sugrįžo sušlapęs, bet sveikas.
En: Time was of the essence, and after a while, Tomas returned wet but unharmed.

Lt: "Maratonas baigtas!
En: "Marathon's over!"

Lt: " – sušuko jis.
En: he exclaimed.

Lt: Mutantų balsai artėjo.
En: The voices of the mutants grew closer.

Lt: Rasa ir Eglė, drebančiam rankom besidalindamos ingredientus, sumaišė maišus.
En: With trembling hands, Rasa and Eglė shared the ingredients and mixed the bags.
