Lt: Buvo vėlyvas pavasaris.
En: It was late spring.

Lt: Ruta, Dovydas ir Ieva stovėjo priešais apleistą mokyklą.
En: Ruta, Dovydas, and Ieva stood in front of an abandoned school.

Lt: Pastatas buvo senojo pasaulio palikimas.
En: The building was a relic of the old world.

Lt: Jo langai buvo sudužę, o sienas dengė vijokliai.
En: Its windows were shattered, and the walls were covered with vines.

Lt: Vėjas stipriai pūtė per atviras duris, stumdydamas dulkes ir lapus.
En: The wind blew strongly through the open doors, pushing dust and leaves.

Lt: Ruta gręžėsi į draugus.

En: In the corridors, there seemed to be a sound like thunder.

Lt: Tai priminė Rūtai, kaip gamta dabar valdo viską aplink.
En: It reminded Ruta how nature now ruled everything around.

Lt: "Reikia nuspręsti", - tarė Ruta išvydusi stabdymą.
En: "We need to make a decision," said Ruta as she noticed their pause.

Lt: "Galime greičiau nukeliauti per valgyklą, bet ten gali būti pavojinga.
En: "We can travel faster through the cafeteria, but it might be dangerous there."

Lt: "Jie nutarė eiti aplink kitu keliu, bet staiga susitiko kitą grupę.
En: They decided to take another route, but suddenly encountered another group.

Lt: Šie žmonės neramiai dairėsi.
En: These people were looking around nervously.

Lt: Ruta, jausdama kitų akis, paėmė iniciatyvą.
En: Ruta, feeling the eyes of others, took the initiative.

Lt: "Mes nenorime bėdų," ji kalbėjo drąsiausiu balsu, "ieškome tik saugaus kelio.
En: "We don't want trouble," she spoke in the bravest voice she could muster, "we're just looking for a safe path."

Lt: "Grupės lyderis susidomėjo.
En: The leader of the group became interested.

En: He listened as Ruta explained their journey and shared stories.
