Lt: Vilniaus senamiestyje, rudeninių lapų kvapas tvyrojo ore.
En: In the old town of Vilnius, the scent of autumn leaves lingered in the air.

Lt: Saulė prasikalė per senas mūrines sienas, apšviesdama akmenimis grįstą gatvę, kuria Gabija pirmą kartą žengė į naują mokyklą.
En: The sun broke through the old brick walls, illuminating the cobblestone street where Gabija stepped for the first time on her way to the new school.

Lt: Mokykla buvo didelė, su raudonomis plytomis ir senu laikrodžiu, kuris tiksėjo virš įėjimo.
En: The school was large, with red bricks and an old clock ticking above the entrance.

Lt: Širdis plakė greitai.
En: Her heart beat quickly.
