Lt: Žilvino fotoaparatas švelniai spragtelėjo, kol jis stovėjo ant Arkties tundros.
En: Žilvino camera softly clicked as he stood on the Arctic tundra.

Lt: Snigo.
En: It was snowing.

Lt: Balta, kiek akys siekė.
En: White, as far as the eye could see.

Lt: Pavėjui sklandė vos girdimas vėjelis.
En: A barely audible breeze drifted downwind.

Lt: Žilvinas su aistra medžiojo savo svajonę.
En: Žilvinas passionately pursued his dream.

Lt: Šaltasis sniegų lapas.
En: The elusive snow fox.

Lt: Jo vaizdas vaizduotėje buvo tobulas: baltas kailis, žvilgsnį traukiantys auskarėliai.
En: Its image in his imagination was perfect: white fur, eye-catching little earrings.

Lt: Šalia jo, jokios euforijos nepatyrusi, stovėjo Eglė.

En: They walked further through the snow.

Lt: Tyluma apgaubė juos, tarsi artėjo sniegas ir dangus juos uždaryti į baltą kapsulę.
En: Silence enveloped them as if the snow and sky were about to close them in a white capsule.

Lt: Nėra kelio atgal.
En: No way back.

Lt: Bet Žilvinas nenustojo tikėtis.
En: But Žilvinas didn't stop hoping.

Lt: "Tu tik pažiūrėk," - jis vis kartodavo, - "gali būti vos už kalvos."
En: "Just look," he kept repeating, "it could be just over the hill."

Lt: Staiga jie įstrigo platesnėje sniego plotmėje, sužvarbę ir pasimetę.
En: Suddenly, they were stuck in a broader snowfield, chilled and lost.

Lt: Nebuvo jokių ženklų, kur krypti toliau.
En: There were no signs of where to go next.

Lt: Eglė jautėsi sušalusi ir norėjo grįžti.
En: Eglė felt frozen and wanted to return.

Lt: Bet tuomet, šiek tiek apsvaigę nuo nuovargio, pakilo aukštyn ant kalvos viršūnės ir... prieš akis pamatė neįtikėtiną vaizdą.
En: But then, slightly dizzy from fatigue, they climbed to the top of the hill and... before their eyes saw an incredible view.

Lt: Dešimtys pingvinų, lėtai, po vieną, rikiavosi į tvarkingą koloną.

Lt: "Pingvinai?!" Eglė iš nuostabos nusišypsojo.

Lt: Juos lydėjo juokingas pasivaikščiojimas, tarsi būtų susitarę rengti paradą.
En: They were accompanied by a funny walk, as if they had agreed to hold a parade.

Lt: Žilvinas atgavo pasitikėjimą.
En: Žilvinas regained his confidence.

Lt: Greitai spustelėjo fotoaparato mygtuką ir pagavo šią juokingą keistenybę.
En: He quickly pressed the camera button and captured this amusing peculiarity.

Lt: Eglė pratrūko juoku.
En: Eglė burst into laughter.

Lt: Staiga jos šaltis ir trūkumas prasme nesirodė toks baisus.
En: Suddenly, her cold and sense of lack didn’t seem so dreadful.

Lt: "Geriau nei lapių nuotrauka, ar ne?" Žilvinas...
