Lt: Ruduo buvo įpusėjęs, o lapai, nusidažę ryškiai geltonomis ir raudonomis spalvomis, kilimais dengė žemę aplink mažąją globos namų trobelę.
En: Autumn was halfway through, and the leaves, colored in bright yellows and reds, blanketed the ground around the small foster home cabin.

Lt: Aldona stovėjo šalia didelio medžio, žvilgsniu sekdama, kaip Jonas bėga per kiemą.
En: Aldona stood by a large tree, watching as Jonas ran across the yard.

Lt: Jonas garsiai juokėsi ir bėgiojo aplink pelkėtą krūmą, kurį jiedu vadino "Draugščiu monstra.
En: Jonas laughed loudly and ran around a marshy bush that they called the "Draugščiu monstra."

Lt: " Giedrė, vaikų prižiūrėtoja, švelniai juos stebėjo iš atstumo.
En: Giedrė, the children's caretaker, gently observed them from a distance.

Lt: Viduje globos namų šiluma viliojo.
En: Inside the foster home, the warmth was inviting.

Lt: Maža biblioteka buvo jų antras namai.

Lt: Ji svajojo surinkti brangią kolekciją kada nors ateityje.

Lt: Bet dabar svarbiausias uždavinys buvo mokyklos projektas.

Lt: Aldona norėjo padaryti kažką ypatingo.
En: Aldona wanted to do something special.

Lt: Ji nori, kad ir Giedrė, ir klasės draugai ją pastebėtų.
En: She wanted both Giedrė and her classmates to notice her.

Lt: Giedrė prisiartino ir pasisodino vaikus prie stalo.
En: Giedrė approached and sat the children at the table.

Lt: „Štai jūsų užduotis," ji pasakė švelniai šypsodamasi.
En: "Here is your task," she said with a gentle smile.

Lt: „Turite atlikti projektą apie rudenį Lietuvoje.
En: "You need to do a project about autumn in Lithuania.

Lt: Reikia dirbti kartu.
En: You need to work together."

Lt: “Aldona atsidususi pažvelgė į Joną, kuris sėdėjo nekantriai judindamas kojas.
En: Aldona sighed and looked at Jonas, who was sitting restlessly, fidgeting his legs.

Lt: Jis labiau domėjosi pieštukų ridenimu nei projekto svarstymu.
En: He was more interested in rolling pencils than discussing the project.

Lt: „Kaip mes tai padarysime?
En: "How are we going to do this?"

Lt: " ji paklausė Joną.
En: she asked Jonas.

Lt: Jonas suraukė antakius.
En: Jonas furrowed his brows.

Lt: „Piešti medžius?
En: "Draw trees?

Lt: Ne, pernelyg nuobodu!
En: No, too boring!

Lt: Galime pridėti šiek tiek nuotykių!
En: We can add some adventure!"

Lt: "Aldonai tai kėlė nerimą, ji bijojo, kad projektas taps nevaldomas, jei Jonas pakreips veiksmą per daug drąsiai.
En: This made Aldona anxious; she feared the project would become unmanageable if Jonas turned the action too adventurous.

Lt: Ji nuėjo į tamsų kampą apmąstyti.
En: She went to a dark corner to ponder.

Lt: Paskui grįžo su idėja.
En: Then she returned with an idea.

Lt: „Jonai, kaip būtų, jei mes sukurtume rudeninę pasaką?
En: "Jonas, how about if we create an autumn tale?

Lt: Tu galėtum būti mūsų pasakotoju.
En: You could be our storyteller."

Lt: “Jonui patiko šis pasiūlymas.
En: Jonas liked this...
