Lv: Saulains pavasara rīts Jūrmalā bija kā radīts skolas ekskursijai.
En: A sunny spring morning in Jūrmala was just perfect for a school excursion.

Lv: Mārtiņš un Līga, divi piecpadsmitgadīgi draugi, ieradās pludmalē ar pārējo klasi.
En: Mārtiņš and Līga, two fifteen-year-old friends, arrived at the beach with the rest of the class.

Lv: Skolotājs Pēteris norādīja uz smilšaino jūras krastmalu un teica: "Šodien mēs vērosim dabas brīnumus.
En: Teacher Pēteris pointed to the sandy seashore and said, "Today we will observe nature's wonders."

Lv: " Mārtiņam daba bija ne tikai brīnums, bet arī piedzīvojums.
En: For Mārtiņš, nature was not only a wonder but also an adventure.

Lv: "Skolotāj, mēs dzirdējām, ka ir taka ar skaistu skatu," teica Mārtiņš.
En: "Teacher, we heard there's a trail with a beautiful view," said Mārtiņš.

Lv: "Varbūt mēs varam visi kopā iet?
En: "Maybe we can all go together?"

Lv: " Līga piebilda ar cerīgu smaidu.
En: Līga added with a hopeful smile.

Lv: Pēteris apsvēra viņu lūgumu.
En: Pēteris considered their request.

Lv: "Nu, labi," viņš teica pēc kāda brīža.
En: "Well, okay," he said after a moment.
