Lv: Vakars bija auksts un sniegots, kad Rūdolfs pameta universitāti un devās pa Vecrīgas šaurajiem ielu ceļiem.
En: The evening was cold and snowy when Rūdolfs left the university and headed through the narrow streets of Old Rīga.

Lv: Zābakstērējamos laukumus klāja bieza sniega sega, kas sprakšķēja zem pēdām.
En: The cobblestone squares were covered with a thick layer of snow that crunched underfoot.
