Lv: Valošo gaismu piepildīta, Vecrīga izstaroja ziemas brīvdienu prieku.
En: Bathed in illuminating light, Vecrīga radiated the joy of the winter holidays.

Lv: Ielas bija šauras un pilnas ar cilvēkiem, kuri baudīja Ziemassvētku tirgus burvību.
En: The streets were narrow and filled with people who were enjoying the magic of the Christmas market.

Lv: Turpat blakus Doma laukumam, starp smaržām no piparkūku stendiem un karstvīna aromāta, gāja Emils un Darta.
En: Right next to Doma square, amidst the smells from gingerbread stalls and the aroma of mulled wine, walked Emils and Darta.

Lv: Emilam, praktiskam un mazliet skeptiskam vietējam, šis laiks gada sākumā nozīmēja tikai pūlēs.
