Lv: Vēja pūlis klīda pāri plašajai tundrai, un Mārtiņš dzirdēja, kā tas sitas pret stacijas logiem.
En: The crowd of vējš wandered across the vast tundra, and Mārtiņš heard it beating against the station windows.

Lv: Iekšpusē bija silti, bet ārpusē - ledaini auksti.
En: Inside it was warm, but outside it was icy cold.

Lv: Mārtiņš sēdēja pie galda, acīs pievērstiem datiem.
En: Mārtiņš sat at the table, his eyes focused on the data.

Lv: "Laima, šodien mums jāiegūst dati," viņš teica, ielūkojoties savā piezīmju blokā.
En: "Laima, today we have to collect the data," he said, looking into his notebook.

Lv: Laima pasmaidīja, kaut arī viņas acīs slēpās šaubas.
