Lv: Pavasaris bija klāt, un bioloģijas klase devās uz lietusmežu.
En: Spring was here, and the biology class went on a trip to the lietusmežs (rainforest).

Lv: Ceļojumā piedalījās Ilze, Kārlis un viņu skolotājs Jānis.
En: In this trip participated Ilze, Kārlis, and their teacher Jānis.

Lv: Viņi visi bija sajūsmas pilni.
En: They were all filled with excitement.

Lv: Šis īpašais lietusmežs bija pazīstams ar daudzām sugām, un Ilze sapņoja atrast retu vardi, par kuru stāstīja leģendas.

Lv: Kārlis un Jānis saprata, ka Ilze ir pazudusi.

Lv: Kad lietus sāka nemitēties, Ilze, slapja un izbijusies, ieskatījās uz sūnainu baļķi.
