Story Transcript:

Ga: Bhí an ghrian ag taitneamh go héadrom trí dhuilleoga órga agus rua sna sléibhte i bPáirc Náisiúnta Sléibhte Chill Mhantáin.
En: The sun was shining gently through the golden and russet leaves in the mountains of Páirc Náisiúnta Sléibhte Chill Mhantáin.

Ga: Bhí an fhómhar go smior san aer fionnuar, agus an cogar gaoithe ag maolú isteach i gcluasa Eamon agus Siobhan.
En: Autumn permeated the cool air, and the whispering wind softly filled Eamon and Siobhan's ears.

Ga: Bhí rud speisialta á lorg acu sa choill, rud a raibh tábhacht mhór aige do Shiobhán.
En: They were looking for something special in the forest, something that held great significance for Siobhan.

Ga: "Caithfidh mé mo kite a fháil ar ais," a dúirt Siobhan le dóchas ina guth.
En: "I have to get my kite back," Siobhan said with hope in her voice.

Ga: "Ba é an bhronntanas deiridh ó mo sheanmháthair é."
En: "It was my last gift from my grandmother."

Ga: Ach bhí Eamon ar thóir rud éigin eile - na beacáin.
En: But Eamon was on the hunt for something else - the mushrooms.

Ga: Bhí ceartchlár eolais beacán ina láimh aige, agus gach cúpla céim, chonaic sé beacán nua
En: He had a mushroom identification guide in his hand, and every few steps, he spotted a new mushroom.

Ga: "Féach anseo, Siobhan," a déarfaidh sé go spreagúil, "An bhfuil a fhios agat an t-ainm atá air seo?"
En: "Look here, Siobhan," he would say excitedly, "Do you know the name of this one?"

Ga: Bhí Siobhan foighneach ar dtús ach tar éis an tríú nó an ceathrú moill, d'fhéach sí suas chuig na crainn árd agus smaoinigh sí ar a kite.
En: Siobhan was patient at first, but after the third or fourth delay, she looked up at the tall trees and thought of her kite.

Ga: "Cinnte, Eamon. Ach táim ag iarraidh mo kite a fháil," a dúirt sí go milis.
En: "Sure, Eamon. But I'm trying to find my kite," she said sweetly.

Ga: Níor mhothaigh Eamon mar gheall a bhí sé chomh caillte ina dhomhan beag beacánach.
En: Eamon was too absorbed in his mushroom world to notice.

Ga: "Ah, tá sé deacair an cineál seo a fháil. Féach ar an datha álainn," a bhí sé ag rá.
En: "Ah, this kind is hard to find. Look at the beautiful color," he was saying.

Ga: Sa deireadh, shocraigh Siobhan faoi rún go ligfeadh sí dó ar feadh nóiméid, ag súil go gcuideodh sé leo bogadh ar aghaidh níos tapa.
En: In the end, Siobhan quietly decided to let him have his moment, hoping it would help them move on more quickly.

Ga: "Just go tapa, ceart go leor? Ansin éistfidh mé faoi na beacáin," a ghló carúil.
En: "Just quickly, okay? Then I'll listen to you about the mushrooms," she chirped.

Ga: Agus iad ag dul isteach níos doimhne sa choill, thiocfadh an t-am uirthi.
En: As they ventured deeper into the forest, time pressed on her.

Ga: Bhí Siobhan ag aithint nach raibh Eamon ag éisteacht leis, agus d'éirigh sí mífhoighneach.
En: Siobhan realized Eamon was not listening, and she grew impatient.

Ga: "Fan anseo, feicfidh mé mé féin," a dúirt sí agus thosaigh sí ag rith tríd na crainn.
En: "Stay here, I'll see for myself," she said and started running through the trees.

Ga: Bhí Eamon beagáinín ciúin ach lean sé í.
En: Eamon was a bit taken aback but followed her.

Ga: Tar éis cúpla nóiméad, stad sí go tobann.
En: After a few minutes, she suddenly stopped.

Ga: Ansin, fheictear don bheirt acu nach raibh...
