Id: Badai mendadak melanda sore itu.
En: A sudden storm hit that afternoon.

Id: Padahal biasanya, saat ini di musim kemarau, langit cerah dan angin sepoi-sepoi.
En: Usually, during the dry season, the sky is clear, and a gentle breeze blows.

Id: Dewi dan Joko sedang berjalan pulang setelah menghadiri peringatan Hari Kemerdekaan di alun-alun desa.
En: Dewi and Joko were walking home after attending the Independence Day celebration at the village square.

Id: Namun, sebelum sempat mereka sadar, awan hitam menggulung di langit dan hujan deras mulai turun.
En: However, before they even realized it, dark clouds rolled across the sky, and heavy rain began to pour down.

Id: "Dewi, kita harus cari tempat berteduh!" teriak Joko, menutupi kepala dengan tas.

Id: Air mulai menetes dari langit-langit, membasahi lantai yang berdebu.
En: Water started dripping from the ceiling, wetting the dusty floor.

Id: "Kita harus bergerak cepat," bisik Joko cemas, merasakan air mulai menggenang di sekitar kaki mereka.
En: "We need to move quickly," Joko whispered anxiously, feeling the water beginning to pool around their feet.

Id: Tanpa membuang waktu, Dewi menunjuk sudut gudang yang tampak lebih kering.
En: Without wasting time, Dewi pointed to a corner of the warehouse that appeared drier.

Id: "Ke sana cepat!"
En: "Quick, over there!"

Id: Mereka berlari mendekat ke sudut yang terlihat lebih aman, sudut itu dilindungi oleh tumpukan kotak yang masih kokoh.
En: They ran toward the corner that seemed safer, protected by a stack of sturdy boxes.
