Fi: Rovaniemen talviyö oli kuin satua.
En: The winter night in Rovaniemi was like a fairy tale.

Fi: Taivas sädehti tähdistä, ja ilma oli raikas ja kylmä.
En: The sky sparkled with stars, and the air was fresh and cold.

Fi: Aino ja Eero olivat lähteneet lomalle Lappiin viettämään uutta vuotta.
En: Aino and Eero had gone on a holiday to Lapland to celebrate the New Year.

Fi: Heidän suunnitelmissaan oli nähdä revontulet, joita he molemmat rakastivat.
En: Their plan was to see the northern lights, which they both loved.
