Fi: Kevät oli saapunut Suomen metsään.
En: Spring had arrived in the Finnish forest.

Fi: Puiden oksilla pilkottivat pienet lehdet ja maa oli täynnä ensimmäisiä kevätkukkia.
En: Small leaves peeked from the branches of trees, and the ground was filled with the first spring flowers.

Fi: Juhani, innokas arkeologi, asteli metsäpolkua pitkin.
En: Juhani, an enthusiastic archaeologist, walked along the forest path.

Fi: Hänen vierellään kulki Aino, paikallinen historioitsija, joka tunsi alueen perinteet ja tarinat kuin omat taskunsa.
En: Beside him walked Aino, a local historian who knew the area's traditions and stories like the back of her hand.
