Fi: Aurinko paistoi kirkkaasti, ja meri kimmelsi sinisenä.
En: The sun was shining brightly, and the sea sparkled blue.

Fi: Suomenlinnan vanhat muurit kertoivat hiljaista tarinaansa.
En: Suomenlinna's old walls told their quiet story.

Fi: Oli kevät, ja Vappu, tuo iloinen juhla, oli aivan nurkan takana.
En: It was spring, and Vappu, that joyful celebration, was just around the corner.

Fi: Eero ja Ansa olivat tulleet luokkakaveriensa kanssa tutustumaan Suomenlinnaan osana historian projektia.
En: Eero and Ansa had come with their classmates to explore Suomenlinna as part of a history project.

Fi: Eero oli innostunut.

En: Ansa listened attentively.

En: "Don't worry, Eero.

En: You know a lot.
