Fi: Keväinen iltapäivä oli lämmin ja aurinkoinen Sámi-yhteisössä Pohjois-Suomessa.
En: A spring afternoon was warm and sunny in the Sámi community in Northern Finland.

Fi: Lumi suli hiljalleen, ja puiden silmut alkoivat avautua.
En: The snow was slowly melting, and the tree buds were beginning to open.

Fi: Kolme ystävää, Aino, Eero ja Kalle, kävelivät yhdessä saunalle.
En: Three friends, Aino, Eero, and Kalle, walked together toward the sauna.

Fi: Heidän edessään levittäytyi kauniisti rakennettu perinteinen puusauna, joka sijaitsi keskellä kylää.
En: In front of them lay a beautifully constructed traditional wood sauna situated in the middle of the village.

Fi: Aino, innokas luonnollisten lääkkeiden kokeilija, oli juuri löytänyt uuden yrttiuutteen metsästä.
En: Aino, an enthusiastic experimenter with natural remedies, had just found a new herbal extract in the forest.

Fi: Hän halusi käyttää sitä saunatuoksuna, uskoen sen tarjoavan ainutlaatuisen kokemuksen.

Fi: "Tämä on ihan uusi juttu", Aino julisti innoissaan.

En: But Kalle just shrugged his shoulders and smiled: "Let's go for it!

Fi: Aino tietää, mitä tekee."
En: Aino knows what she's doing."

Fi: Saunassa Kalle heitti ensimmäisenä löylyä, ja Aino lisäsi yrttiuutetta vesiämpäriin.
En: In the sauna, Kalle was the first to throw water on the hot stones, and Aino added the herbal extract to the water bucket.

Fi: Pian höyry täytti huoneen, ja yllättäen ilmaan levisi vahva, makea tuoksu.
En: Soon the steam filled the room, and suddenly a strong, sweet aroma spread through the air.

Fi: Hetken kuluttua Eero alkoi nauraa.
En: After a moment, Eero began to laugh.

Fi: Sitten Kalle liittyi mukaan, ja pian he molemmat nauroivat niin, että silmistä valui kyyneliä.
En: Then Kalle joined in, and soon they were both laughing so hard that tears ran from their eyes.

En: "I don't know," giggled Eero, "but this is hilarious!"

Fi: Ystävykset nauroivat yhdessä, kunnes heillä oli vaikeuksia hengittää.
En: The friends laughed together until they had difficulty breathing.

Fi: Lopulta he päättivät poistua saunasta keräämään itsensä ulkona.
En: Eventually, they decided to leave the sauna to gather themselves outside.

Fi: He istuivat ulkona puupenkeillä, hengittäen syvään raikasta kevätilmaa.
En: They sat on wooden benches, taking deep breaths of the fresh spring air.

Fi: Illan laskeutuessa he kokoontuivat Ainoon luokse illalliselle.
En: As evening descended, they gathered at Aino's place for dinner.
