Fi: Lapin talvi oli kaunis ja karu samaan aikaan.
En: The winter in Lappi was both beautiful and harsh at the same time.

Fi: Lumi peitti maan paksuna peittona, pimeän taivaan alla lepatti revontulet.
En: Snow covered the ground like a thick blanket, and beneath the dark sky, the northern lights flickered.

Fi: Elina, Mikko ja Juhani olivat tulleet hiihtoleirille, joka sijaitsi metsän keskellä, kaukana kaikesta.
En: Elina, Mikko, and Juhani had come to a skiing camp located in the middle of the forest, far from everything.
