Fi: Kevyt tuuli puhalsi Helsingin saariston kuutamoiselle rannalle.
En: A gentle wind blew onto the moonlit shore of the Helsinki archipelago.

Fi: Taivaalla näkyi tummia pilviä, jotka ennustivat lähestyvää myrskyä.
En: In the sky, dark clouds foretold an approaching storm.

Fi: Aino seisoi paljain jaloin hiekassa.
En: Aino stood barefoot in the sand.
