Story Transcript:

Et: Paksu lumevaiba all, Kadrioru pargi rajad särasid jõulutulede kumas.
En: Under a thick blanket of snow, the paths in Kadrioru pargi shone with the glow of Christmas lights.

En: A small group of people, Kalev, Maarika, and Toomas, stood in the spacious square.

En: Around them, joyful laughter and calls could be heard from other park visitors enjoying the winter delights.

En: Kalev looked at the surrounding white world and felt the desire to create a new snowman.

Et: "Aga miks see lumi ei kleepu?"
En: "But why doesn't this snow stick?"

Et: nurises Kalev, püüdes lumepalle vormida.
En: Kalev grumbled, trying to form snowballs.

Et: "See peaks ju imelihtne olema."
En: "It should be really easy."

En: Maarika, who was considering going to a warm café instead, smiled encouragingly.

Et: "Võib-olla leiame siit midagi, mis aitab.
En: "Maybe we can find something here that helps.

En: Maybe sticks or branches could keep the snowman together."

En: Toomas, who was always practical, looked around with a searching gaze.

En: "You know, maybe we should add an old hat and scarf so it all looks grand," he suggested.

En: "After we're done, I'll make us all hot cocoa."

Et: Kolmekesi hakkasid nad lähemalt vaatlema, mida park pakkuda saaks.
En: The three of them started to look more closely at what the park could offer.

En: Maarika found some good branches and small cones, while Kalev ran home to fetch some old winter supplies.

En: Though the snowballs were rather noisy and rough in texture, they were not discouraged.

En: Suddenly, they noticed a small fountain that had frozen into ice.

Et: "Vaadake, jää!
En: "Look, ice!

Et: Sellest saame teha tugeva aluse meie lumememmele," ütles Toomas entusiastlikult.
En: We can make a strong base for our snowman from this," said Toomas enthusiastically.

En: They gathered around the fountain, collected ice shards, and set to work again.

En: A few hours later, their creation was finished.

En: The snowman wasn't traditional, but more like an unusual ice king.

En: It caught the gaze of passersby and brought a smile to everyone...
