Story Transcript:

Et: Lahemaa rahvuspark kihas suvisest melust.
En: Lahemaa National Park buzzed with summer activity.

En: The sun glimmered between the trees, casting a beautiful glow on all the hikers.

En: Kaarin walked calmly along the narrow path, surrounded by birds flitting about and the fresh scent of the pine forest.

Et: Kaarin vaatas üle õla.
En: Kaarin glanced over her shoulder.

Et: Tema taga tulid Mati ja Anu.
En: Behind her were Mati and Anu.

Et: Mati rääkis midagi hoogsalt, käed õhus vehkimas.
En: Mati was speaking animatedly, gesturing wildly with his hands.

En: Anu listened and nodded, holding her glasses to prevent them from slipping off her nose.

Et: Kaarin tundis, kuidas süda natuke rahunes.
En: Kaarin felt her heart calm a little.

En: It was nice that Mati and Anu were so absorbed in their conversation.

Et: Kaarin soovis sellel kokkutulekul midagi muuta.
En: Kaarin wanted to change something at this gathering.

En: She wished to reconnect with her family, a bond she had long lost.

Et: Anu, nende pere vanim, korraldas alati suured kogunemised, kuid Kaarin tundis end tihti eemal olevat.
En: Anu, the eldest of the family, always organized large gatherings, but Kaarin often felt like an outsider.

En: Anu's traditions were nice but didn’t feel quite like home in her heart.

Et: Nüüd, Lahemaa pargis, oli tema võimalus.
En: Now, in Lahemaa Park, was her chance.

En: Kaarin turned around and said, "Let's take a little tour here."

En: "Let's tell stories and share memories," Kaarin continued with a smile.

En: Mati got excited: "Yes, Anu, tell us about your youth!"

En: Anu laughed and began with a long story about how her grandmother made chamomile tea for every day of health.

Et: Nad istusid vahepeal suure kivi peal.
En: At one point, they sat on a large rock.

En: Kaarin took a deep breath and decided it was time to share her concerns.

En: "Actually, I often feel distant from you... as if I don't belong in your traditions."

Et: Anu vaatas teda pehmelt.
En: Anu looked at her gently.

Et: "Kaarin, sa oled meie pere osa.
En: "Kaarin, you're part of our family.

Et: Need traditsioonid on muutuvad.
En: These traditions can change.
