Story Transcript:
Et: Tartu loodusmuuseumis oli elevust õhus.
En: There was excitement in the air at the Tartu Natural History Museum.
Et: Suveõhtu valguses särasid ruumid, täis Eesti rikkalikku looduslugu.
En: In the light of the summer evening, the rooms gleamed, full of the rich natural history of Estonia.
En: Outside, just a few hours away from the Jaanipäev celebration, people had gathered, enjoying flower wreaths and the scent of strawberries.
Et: Muuseumihoone sees liikumatult, Ott seisis uue näituse kõrval, silmade all tumedad rõngad viimasest unetust ööst.
En: Inside the museum building, Ott stood motionless next to the new exhibition, dark circles under his eyes from the sleepless night.
Et: Tema kirg Eesti folkloori vastu oli tuntud, kuid tehnika, oh, see tihtipeale pettis teda.
En: His passion for Estonian folklore was well known, but technology often betrayed him.
En: The interactive display meant to enliven Jaanipäev traditions refused to cooperate.
Et: Leila, kolleeg ja sõber, astus lähemale.
En: Leila, a colleague and friend, stepped closer.
Et: "Ott, peame otsustama," ütles ta pehmelt.
En: "Ott, we need to decide," she said softly.
Et: "Avamine on tunni aja pärast."
En: "The opening is in an hour."
Et: "Olen proovinud kõike," vastas Ott mornilt.
En: "I've tried everything," Ott replied grimly.
En: "I'm not going to postpone the exhibition because of this.
Et: Pean lihtsalt teise lahenduse leidma."
En: I just have to find another solution."
En: While Ott sank into his thoughts, Mati, the young technician, was already at the display, seeing if he could salvage anything.
En: But Ott knew time was running out.
Et: See oli nende viimane võimalus.
En: This was their last chance.
En: The thought of a delay twisted his stomach, but the support from Mati and Leila brought new courage.
Et: Leila vaatas teda julgustavalt.
En: Leila looked at him encouragingly.
Et: "Ott, su juttudest Eestimaa suvedest on kogu meie meeskond olnud lummatud.
En: "Ott, your stories about Estonian summers have captivated our entire team.
Et: Miks mitte rääkida rahvale?"
En: Why not tell them to the crowd?"
Et: Ott hingas sügavalt sisse.
En: Ott took a deep breath.
Et: Ta mäletas, kuidas lapsepõlves pidas naabrimees Jaanipäeva ööl lõkke ääres jutte.
En: He remembered how, in childhood, his neighbor told stories by the bonfire on the night of Jaanipäev.
En: There was something magical about it, and now it was time to pass on that magic.
En: As the evening reached its peak, Ott gathered his courage and walked to the front of the exhibit.
Et:...
