Cs: Štěpán se probudil do jarního rána.
En: Štěpán woke up to a spring morning.

Cs: Vzduch byl svěží a voněl po rozkvetlých růžích.
En: The air was fresh and smelled of blooming roses.

Cs: Ptáci zpívali své ranní písně.
En: The birds were singing their morning songs.

Cs: Byl to den voleb a Štěpán věděl, že musí jít hlasovat.
En: It was election day, and Štěpán knew he had to go vote.

Cs: Byl hrdý občan, a tak si dal tento úkol jako prioritu.
En: He was a proud citizen, and he made this task a priority.

Cs: Ale dnes to nebyl jediný jeho plán.

En: “Yes, I’ve already chosen one.

Cs: Ale musím si ho koupit dnes, protože zítra ta akce končí.“ „To je skvělé!
En: But I have to buy it today because the sale ends tomorrow.” “That’s great!

Cs: Ale tady to vypadá, že budeme čekat dlouho,“ poznamenala Eva, zatímco se dívala na dlouhou řadu lidí před nimi.
En: But it looks like we’ll be waiting a long time here,” Eva remarked, while looking at the long line of people ahead of them.

Cs: Štěpán věděl, že má pravdu, ale nemohl jen tak odejít.
En: Štěpán knew she was right, but he couldn’t just leave.

Cs: Hlasováním chtěl přispět ke změnám, na kterých mu záleželo.
En: He wanted to contribute to changes he cared about by voting.
